CHINESE EAGLE CLAW KUNG FU •
AGES 7+
Known for its grappling techniques, Chinese Eagle Claw Kung Fu is
part of the Northern Shaolin System. Master Gini Lau, 8th generation, teaches
the fundamentals of punching, kicking, footwork and self-defense. The class
focuses on discipline, self-confidence and respect. For more information,

CLAUDIO’S MARTIAL ARTS PEE WEE/
YOUTH INTRODUCTORY CLASS • AGES 4½-9
This class was created to give our
youngest and newest students the opportunity to learn in a more focused
environment. All students under the age of 9 must first be in this class to be
evaluated for the Beginning Youth Program. This class will give the instructor
the ability to teach students how to focus, learn basic skills, socialization,
and how to follow directions. A student may be evaluated at 6 years old to
advance into the Beginning Youth program, depending on his/her attention span,
and learning abilities. This class may also be combined with the Beginning
Youth Class and/or even assisted by Junior or Senior Leaders (a select group of
students who have the ability to help our younger, newer students; under the

CLAUDIO’S MARTIAL ARTS NOVICE/BEGINNING
YOUTH • AGES 7½-12
This class is an introduction to martial arts and
exercise for children. This class teaches focus, movement, coordination, and
the foundation for becoming a martial artist. We stress proper technique and
form through repetition. Students will also learn the values of respect,
loyalty, and discipline. Each student is evaluated based on their attendance,
participation, focus, improvement, and meeting minimum requirements. For more

INTERMEDIATE YOUTH/ TEENS/ADULTS • AGES 13+
This is an integrated class of
intermediate youth (10-12 year olds must meet minimum requirements) and
teens/adults of all levels. This class focuses on self-discipline, intense
physical training, effective self-defense techniques, competition sparring
& forms. Students will learn the balance between mind, body, and spirit;
through a solid martial arts foundation. Students will need to meet mental

  JUDO FOR KIDS • Ages 5-7
  This kid fit program is taught in a fun-filled way and is geared
  towards the physical development and attention spans of our
  youngest students. Classes are designed so that focus,
  communication skills, and respect for others come from the lesson
  plans and interactions between the instructor and the students,
  rather than acting on impulse. And did we mention we laugh, smile
  and have lots of fun! Running, jumping, tumbling and playing games
  develops balance, coordination and flexibility, practicing basic Judo techniques develops physical conditioning, agility, speed and body control, and learning how to safely fall, throw and pin each other builds confidence and teamwork. Uniforms must be purchased by the 2nd week of class through the Vallejo Judo Club.

vallejo judo  JUDO BEGINNER & EXPERIENCED • Ages 8+
  Judo is a sport, a recreational activity, a means of self-defense, and a
  way of life. Judo training can improve an individual's aerobic capacity,
  speed, power, strength, agility, and flexibility. This class is taught in a fun
  filled way and is a blend of beginning to advanced Judo, including the
  fundamental techniques of falling, throwing, grappling, and advanced
  submission techniques. Belt rank testing is available. Uniforms must be
  purchased by the 2nd week of class through the Vallejo Judo Club.

  JUDO FOR COMPETITORS • Ages 5+
  Our competitive Judo program builds upon our Judo Beginner &
  Experienced class and is for students who would like to become
  more serious in their study and practice of Judo, compete at
  tournaments, earn higher belt ranks, and participate in camps or
  other educational training activities. This class is more intense and
  comes with higher expectations of attendance, conditioning,
  focus, energy and dedication. Requirements: register in Judo Beginner & Experienced class, are competing in tournaments, registered with USA Judo and USJF/Hokka.

Cost: $25/month resident, $30/month nonresident
(Participants attending the competitors level without registering for Judo Beginner & Experienced class must have instructor's approval and register onsite at $45/class)
