REACH Programs are designed for teens & adults living with developmental disabilities
The Greater Vallejo Recreation District is dedicated to providing recreation & leisure activities for all of Vallejo. Our Therapeutic Recreation Programs were developed to help those living with developmental disabilities enjoy a full range of leisure opportunities. Classes & social events are supervised by GVRD recreation staff members. Staff can assist with enrollment prior to the start of programs. Each client is required to have a caregiver on site during every activity. You may obtain a wavier & registration form at the GVRD Main Office (395 Amador Street), or, by clicking the link below.
Sports & Games - Ages 13 & up
Join the REACH staff for fun and skill building with non-competitive sports and games. Play basketball, Frisbee, baseball, and many more. We love to try new sports and games. Now meeting at The Mare Island Sports Complex, 785 Walnut Ave (on Mare Island) which has full size basketball and soccer facilities.
Mondays 11:30am-12:15pm Jan 8- Feb 19, Mar 5- Apr 16 (no class Jan 15, Feb 19)
Cost: $9/session, no fee for caregivers.
Expressive Arts - Ages 13 & up
Get creative! Each week we explore a different craft project. Listen to music and express yourself through art. Meets at the Vallejo Community Center, 225 Amador St.

REACH MOVIE DAYS - Ages 13 & up
Join us for snacks and a movie on the third Thursday of the month. Movie starts at 10:30 am. Vallejo Community Center, 225 Amador St.Cost $3, no fee for caregivers Third Thursday of the each month. Mardi Gras Party & Dance - Ages 13 & up Thursday, February 8th from 11 am to 1 pm Live DJ, food, dancing, masks and beads! Time to let the good times roll!
Vallejo Sports Academy
